Kwan Wong is a post-graduate of the University of Melbourne in primary Metallurgy and mineral processing. During his career of over 50 years as a practising metallurgist, Kwan has worked in CSIRO, Mt Gunson Mines and Amdel. In 1989 he was the Managing Director/Consulting Metallurgist of Optimet Laboratories which he established in partnership with two other metallurgists. Following the acquisition of Optimet Laboratories by AMMTEC Ltd, Kwan continued working as a consulting metallurgist. At the start of 2012, Kwan re-started his own private consulting services operating under the business name KYSPYmet. Kwan has extensive experience in flotation treatment of complex sulphide ores and with research, pioneer development and plant implementation of Controlled Potential Sulphidisation (CPS) flotation of mixed, oxidised, oxide and supergene base metal sulphide ore. Kwan's consulting activities over the past years have included review/evaluation of flotation testwork and plant performance, plant commissioning and trouble-shooting, and metallurgist/operator training, laboratory and pilot plant test programme design and execution. He has also acted as a specialist speaker in flotation workshops and as an expert witness in legal proceedings. In more recent years Kwan's interest and experience in flotation treatment has extended to non-metallic and industrial minerals, particularly rare earth oxide ores, due to increased activities in this area of mineral processing in Australia and overseas. In particular, over the last twenty years or so period, Kwan has worked on eight rare earth oxide ore development projects covering Australian and overseas deposits.

Alistair Lowry is a chartered professional Civil/Water Resources Engineer with twenty five years’ experience of design and project engineering for diverse mining and heavy industrial projects in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, S.E. Asia, S. America and Africa.
Alistair’s technical expertise lies in the areas of minesite surface water management and infrastructure design. He has in-depth experience of hydrologic analyses required for peak flow/runoff estimates and flood modelling and hydraulic design for the design of tailings and mine water supply dams, river diversion works, spillways, settling ponds and haul road drainage design. Alistair has completed detailed landform design for mine closure. Carrick offers full consulting engineering services from preliminary scoping studies through to completion of detailed design and construction deliverables. |

Geotechnical & TSF DesignFormerly established as MHA Geotechnical in 2015, the client base and scope of work afforded to a specialist geotechnical consultancy was quickly outgrown. The ongoing needs of their clients dictated that their capabilities should extend into all aspects of mining – from resource definition and mine planning, to detailed design and operational support.
In mid-2018 they began the process of incorporating MHA Geotechnical into REC – Resource Engineering Consultants, becoming an employee owned consulting firm based in Perth, Western Australia. Financial Modelling
Northshore Capital Advisors (NSCA) specialises in providing resource sector financial modelling, commercial services and due diligence across all stages of mining projects. Jeremy Atkinson (JA) has been building financial models of mining projects for 10 years both for clients and for own portfolio analysis. Prior to this JA spent 18 years in international commercial and strategic management in various industries.
Client work on mining assignments has included projects based in the following jurisdictions: Australia, Canada, Namibia, DRC, Zimbabwe, Argentina, Chile, Italy, Togo, Mali and Tanzania. NSCA has worked on the following commodities for clients: gold, copper, lithium, tantalum, niobium, zinc/lead/silver, phosphates, potash, uranium, graphite. NSCA has worked on both open pit and underground assignments. JA is an Australian qualified accountant (CPA) and has been professionally trained in financial modelling, valuation and hedging. In 2009 JA completed the Kaplan / Finsia Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance as National Dux and was awarded state prizes in Mining Investment Analysis and Foreign Exchange Trading. JA also has a working understand of French African accounting. |
